Investigating Individual Component- Living Quarters (Both sites)
LIVING QUARTERS- DORMITORIES
I created a visualisation displaying the interior layout of the individual dormitories the users, (hurricane disaster victims) would occupy. Although, fairly basic, the rooms offer a comfortable and safe living environment, providing a little privacy in the mass emergency shelter. The dorms will vary in size, from singular, double and family rooms. The room below depicts a family (4 persons) room- featuring a double bed, children's room (bunk beds), bathroom, storage, basic kitchen facilities and small lounge area. The large windows aim to provide the guests with as much light as possible. Outside of the dormitories, other activities (gardening, education centre etc) can be completed as seen on the site map.

Area of site: 160,746.35 m²
For reference: The floor of the Louisiana Superdome is 24,991 m2. Overall: 283,280 m2.

Nature's Vendetta: Florida Floods (Primary research)
As part of my primary research, I decided to make a video combining my own footage recorded during a trip to Florida and news articles to do with the flooding issue in the area. The video enables me to remember my experiences being in Florida, assessing the topography of the land. This will be useful when it comes to site analysis
